After being diagnosed with breast cancer I decided to set a firm boundary.

Messages of “light and love,” “you’ve got this,” “you’re a warrior!” were forbidden. I didn’t want to be reminded that I was in a fight I didn’t choose to be in or one without a guaranteed outcome. Not a Warrior was born out of a desire to document and navigate my diagnosis with intention and humor and, hopefully, help others do the same.
